We are the owners of Better Together Photography, established as a husband and wife team in 2014 in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii. That same year, we opened our studio and gallery in the historical district of Lahaina, right off Dickinson Street. Over the past decade, we have dedicated ourselves to capturing your memories through our lens—documenting families, weddings, engagements, surprise proposals, maternity sessions, stunning dress portraits, destination shoots, and so much more. We are truly grateful to over our 3,000 clients that have entrusted us with their cherished moments. After the devastating Lahaina fire, we made the decision to expand our team beyond just a husband-and-wife operation. We could not run our Maui division without our amazing team, and we are grateful to work with our friends while giving back to the West Maui community. Some of our photographers we have known and have worked with for over 10 years. If we don’t have the pleasure of personally meeting you in Maui, rest assured, you will be in good hands with our trusted photographers, who we work alongside closely. Additionally, every photo is hand-edited by Tyson to ensure that each image embodies our unique style and attention to detail. Your images reflect our exact style, lighting and natural editing.
In light of the devastating fires that impacted our town in Lahaina, we made the challenging decision to relocate to the mainland while continuing to travel for work. We lost our daughter's school, our town and the way of life we cherished. Shortly after, we were overjoyed to discover that we were expecting a new ray of sunshine—our little son, Hudson. With Hudson on the way and all the difficult changes back in Lahaina we decided to temporarily move to the mainland. Where we could access the medical care we needed to expand our family and find a school for Avianna. Despite the changes, we remain committed to our passion for photography, capturing moments across the United States and internationally. We are grateful for the opportunity to work while still having our dedicated team in Maui. Since the fires, Tyson has been traveling extensively back and forth to Hawaii, collaborating with our team and photographers. He often still works in Maui for extended weddings over 3 hours, events & styled shoots, repeats & request through out the year. For the most of the year you will find Tyson and Tresseca working in various locations across the West Coast, including Southern Utah, Las Vegas, and California. We also travel far and beyond for weddings, events and styled shoots. If you're interested in working with Tyson and Tresseca directly for your big day or a specific session please reach out.
